Q : WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COMPREHENSIVE AND A THIRD PARTY COVER UNDER A MOTOR POLICY?
A : Under a comprehensive cover, you are able to cover loss or damage to your vehicle as a result of accidental collision or overturning, fire, burglary or theft, malicious acts and falling objects in addition to the cover against third party liability. The third party cover will only be limited to the legal liability to third parties involving death, bodily injury and/or loss or damage to property. Q : HOW DO I DETERMINE THE SUM INSURED FOR MY PROPERTY TO BE INSURED UNDER THE HOUSEOWNERS' POLICY? A : The sum insured should be based on the market value of the dwelling house excluding the land cost. If you are insuring your dwelling house on replacement value basis, you should determine your sum insured based on the rebuilding cost of the house at the time of damage or destruction but not more superior to or more extensive than the dwelling house when new. Q : HOW CAN I MAKE A CLAIM FOR WINDSCREEN DAMAGE? A : You should first check if you have purchased a separate windscreen damage benefit under your motor policy. Q : I HAVE PURCHASED 2 DIFFERENT PERSONAL ACCIDENT POLICIES FROM THE COMPANY. IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, CAN I CLAIM FROM BOTH POLICIES? A : Personal Accident insurance is a benefit insurance.
